What condition should goods be in?
We require consigned items to be clean and odor-free. We will not accept any items with holes, tears, major stains, missing buttons or trim, or broken zippers. We have 5 condition levels we designate for all products:
- New: goods that Owl Tree has sourced directly from the manufacturer
- With Tags: consignment goods that have never been worn & still have all original tags and/or packaging
- Excellent: goods are in pristine condition without tags attached
- Very Good: goods show very minor signs of wear
- Play Condition: visible signs of wear, such as minor pilling and color fading. All imperfections will be called out.
What brands & items are accepted?
We accept all brands, however items are accepted based on a high standard of condition as well as saleability and aesthetic. Specific items that are accepted are outlined in our consignment conditions.
How do I get my items for consignment to you?
You have 3 easy options. You can drop off in-person at our store in Brooklyn during store hours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Sundays, or receive a prepaid label to pack up your goods and send to us via UPS ground. Please click here to get started consigning.
What happens after I get my items to consign to you?
After we receive your items and review for a final inspection, we will send you a summary of all items accepted. The processing time takes 8-10 weeks from receipt of items. Once processed, all current season styles will go up for sale in our store, with a limited selection chosen for the site, while off-season styles will be moved to our warehouse until optimal seasonality.
What are Owl Tree’s consignment commission rates?
Our commission rate is 50% of final net sales price for all items sold.
What are Owl Tree’s shipping options?
Owl Tree Kids provides free shipping for all orders over $50. Orders below $50 will be charged a flat shipping fee of $7. We ship within the 50 US states, via UPS ground.
What is your return policy?
Exchanges or returns for store credit are accepted within 21 days of receipt of goods, provided goods still have tags attached and are in original saleable condition. Customers must send a return request to firstname.lastname@example.org to receive a prepaid shipping label. The cost of shipping will be deducted from the final refund amount. Only return requests for defective products above normal wear and tear will be accepted after 21 days of receipt of goods.
Can I shop or drop off items in person?
Yes! If you are in the NYC area, we’d love to have you visit our store in Brooklyn at 376 Court Street, Brooklyn, NY 11231. We accept consignment during store hours on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Sunday.
